The Lucy Art Residency is happy announce the open call for the 2020 residency program and commission for visual artists working with photography.
An artist based in Europe or the Mediterranean whose main practice is photography focused will be invited to spend two weeks in Late May/Early June 2020 in Kavala, Greece with transportation, accommodation and subsistence covered.
Duration of residency
The selected artist can chose any continuous two week period between the 18th of May and – 7th of June. Please note that the Lucy Art Residency Public Talks will take place on 31st of May 2020. The Jurors and other invited guests will be present from the 29th-31st of May 2020.
The arists will be accommodated in the five-star Lucy Hotel, in Kavala Greece in a private room.

Fees and support
The residency includes accommodation in a private room in the five star hotel Lucy, breakfast and two daily meals in the hotel’s restaurant, economy flights to and from the country of residence and a per diem of 25 Euros for personal expenses. For the production of the artwork following the residency a 300 Euro Artist Fee will be paid and up to 300 Euro production budget provided.
Expectations towards the artist
The artist will give an Artist Talk during the Lucy Art Residency Talks in a historical heritage building in Kavala.
Following the conclusion of the residency, they will be commissioned to produce one new artwork inspired by their time in Kavala.
