FARM Studio in Rajasthan India offers artists a tranquil, back to nature atmosphere in rural Rajasthan. Surrounding the studio are farms, goat and camel herding communities, small villages with traditional potters and metal smiths. Artists have the opportunity to exchange with local artisans as well as fellow resident international artists.
Sessions with spaces available are:
# 2 – 5 November to 1 December, 2019
# 3 – 1 December – 25 December, 2019
We encourage artists to apply asap. Since it’s a ‘last minute’ residency application we are offering flexibility in the dates, please email us to specify your request and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Couples and families are welcome.
The fee for each residency is $550 USD and includes: pick-up and drop-off to/from nearest train or bus station, accommodation, vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), daily upkeep of the premises, basic kitchen, tea/coffee and snacks, studio space, internet, electricity, basic tools, administration, publicity of the artist’s project (if required), b/w printer, first aid kit, organization of outreach programming (if required), local sight-seeing, venues for artist talks, and the possibility of exhibition or performance. If requested we also arrange a connection with the pottery community and use of their facilities.
We provide applicants an official invitation letter.
