Incheon Art Platform 
As a multiplex cultural arts center, Incheon Art Platform (IAP) is based on residency program. It hosts exhibitions, various performances (including music, dance, play and so on) all over the year and runs various events and educational programs for general public. By supporting resident artists covering various genres, IAP aims to become the incubator for new art creation and a core of contemporary art.

All resident artists selected every end of the year and stay here on average one year (Korean Artists)/ three months (International Artists). IAP regularly runs residencies program which is the basic form of the residency comprise artist-in-residence, exhibitions, and public events. IAP seeks to create opportunities for artists to further the practice and philosophy of their work by meeting fellow artists and to develop their ideas with local characteristics.

 

Artist-in-Residence Program
Incheon Art Platform runs Artist-in-Residence Program which provides a creative space for domestic/international artists and researchers working in various fields. In order to support resident artists’ active creative and research activities, the program provides lecture, research and criticism supports and gives them opportunity to present the result of their works in exhibition, performance or art project. The program holds yearly open call to select resident artists along with artist exchange programs through networks with overseas related institutions.

Research Tour (Only April)
– lecture and touring program for artists which provides them with a wide range of information and research opportunities as they visit certain location/space and explore contemporary social·cultural issues. ‘Incheon Research Tour’ among the program gives an opportunity to the artists to understand historical background of Incheon and the locality itself.

Platform Salon
-Artist’s Talk program in which resident artists introduce their creative works and fellow artists and external professionals discuss over them. It also functions as an exchange program building a community within the Platform while promoting mutual cooperation between artists.

Criticism Program
– as a creative capability intensifying program operated for resident artists to extend their artistic horizon, offers an opportunity
to discuss and study on the work’s development by matching critics or professionals to resident artists. By this program, artists can develop their innate possibilities and unique characteristics and get a basis for objective explanations for their works and create a network with curators or critics in Korea.

Exhibition Support Program 
– For international artists who stay only for 3 months, there is a showcase presentation opportunity with no genre
and format restriction in order to improve the completeness of the project.

Open studio and Group Exhibition ‘Platform Artists’ (September – December)
– Incheon Art Platform publicly presents the whole year’s process and the results which resident artists and researchers produced in its yearly open studio and report exhibition Platform Artists. For 3 days, all the studios open their doors to meet citizens and this has become a representative event of the residency program. With this, artists build a basis for presenting their experimental process-centered project using big and small exhibition halls within the Incheon Art Platform.
