Artistic Residency – OPEN CALL – deadline JUNE 29, 2019
You are an artist or a craftsman who wishes to experience a collective and in situ residency on a farm in QC, CANADA? RURART is what you are looking for!
Since 2012, RURART has offered immersive artistic residencies in a rural context. This space where the creative forces of earth, human and art meet, has for mission to reconnect people to nature and agriculture via the medium of art. The residencies take place either in groups each season and at specific dates (Production in residency program), or upon request from April to October (Research in residency program).
A residency on the theme : What unites us… Ce qui nous unit…
RURART Production in residency, the 2019 autumn edition, offers the chance to various artists to experience a unique and collective residency. For a duration of 8 days, artists are invited to work on or rework a piece of their own. Following a self-organized group structure, the participants share and support each other and have autonomous space to work on their own. At the end of the week, artists are asked to share their work with the public within the same environment they worked in throughout the residency. The two presentations are created in the format of a path passing through different stations on the farm La Généreuse.
