Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture (SFAC) is a organization governed by the city of Seoul. It was established on March 15, 2004.

With the goal that Seoulites and artists create a happy city, rich with culture, SFAC is supporting the creation and spread of culture and the arts, art education and the people of Seoul&rsquos cultural and art activities.

Our Mission is to &ldquoMake Seoul a creative city where all citizens and communities are happy with arts&rdquo and our Vision is &ldquoVivid Seoul with arts, happy citizens with culture&rdquo.

Description of Organisation:

Seoul Art Space_Yeonhui is Seoul&rsquos first creation space specializing in literature. It&rsquos a part of the art space programs of Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture(SFAC), a public organization.

It&rsquos been established since 5th November 2009 on the site of former The City History Compilation Committee.

On the 6,915m2 site (ground area is total 1,480m2), there are 4 tiled-roof buildings, outdoor stage and a trail among pine-woods. Located in the quiet residential area, it presents an enchanting rural landscape in the urban center, Seoul.

As an exclusive residence for writers, it aims at providing an optimal environment to writers for creating their works, and the greatest chance to be closer to literature to citizens.

Seoul Art Space_Yeonhui is open throughout the year. Submit your application via e-mail yeonhui@sfac.or.kr.

Application is free of charge.

Please send us an e-mail for a application form. Supporting documents for application is a cover letter, project statement, copy of passport and at least two recommendations from a publisher, literary organization and/or in rare case, from admired authors.
