SeMA NANJI RESIDENCY(SNR) was opened in 2006 by renovating unused sewage treatment facilities on Nanjido, Seoul. It runs various programs designed to revitalize international exchanges, and provides
studio spaces for promising new artists to allow them to concentrate on their artistic activities in a stable environment.
SNR assists international exchanges between artists in the studio by running world- class residency programs such as project exhibitions, workshops and publications, mentoring programs, open studios, and
international exchange exhibitions. Twenty local artists move into this facility each year, and sixteen foreign artists are invited to participate in
the programs for three months in each quarter.
SeMA Nanji Residency(SNR) is a Seoul Museum of Art affiliate. Founded in 2006, SNR has focused on incubating young and emerging Korean artists and their artistic activities. Located in the beautiful Worldcup Park along SeoulÂ??s Han River, the tranquil environment inspires residents within the city boundary. SNR is valued for providing artists a closer networking with both local and international communities through its strategic location of being near SeoulÂ??s most thriving art and cultural sector.
