Mandarina Borda AIR is a non profit arts residency developed by artists for artist of every conceivable discipline
The residence is aimed for all those artists who wish to carry out projects in an agricultural and rural environment.
Mandarina Borda develops its projects within the framework of agroecology art, nature and geometry intertwine to re-construct an identity linked to the territory.
The residence is located in a native house, which has been restored maintaining its identity features.
The residence consists of 3 rooms for private use, kitchen, 1 bathroom and dining room for community use. Study room, and work study equipped with basic tools. And a garden to enjoy together.
In the same town, we have an orange grove in which artists can also carry out their projects, or simply connect with the landscape.
We advise artists to achieve their project, helping them find the equipment they need for their work.
At the end of the residence there will be an Open Studio, giving information about the work of the artists, that will be published on the website of Mandarina Borda.
Mandarina Borda is a place of creation from which to rethink the interaction of man with his natural environment, making his identity visible, through the recognition of the landscape that it forms. The means in which we rely on to relocate the body in a system of ecological life are: the re-knowledge of the territory and its resources, the permaculture, the cultivation in mandala, the geometry, the energetic gastronomy, the construction of the corporal map, and artistic creation as a catalyst for all these processes
