We began reconstructing an old desolated farmhouse plus stables and barn in 2013 with the intention to make a retreat for writers and others who want to exercise their creativity by art or science.

The intention was to reach creative people, artists or scientists who wanted to stay in a beautiful and peaceful area in northern Iceland for a month or more and mix with the locals and promote their art in the area along with getting inspiration from the culture of our country.

Peter is born 1947.

Swany loves to restore old furniture and design exotic artistic combinations.

Description of Organisation:

Our institution is operated by our fund LABORATORY OF MIND AND IMAGINATION.

We, Swany and Peter, focus on creative people of finer arts or science who also want to discuss philosophical issues as Peter has written books on the subject and he and Swany love to have dialogues on subjects of such value adding to their love of philosophy.

Peters main book is METASOPHY, LEARNING TO DIE &ndash DYING TO LEARN

Our aim is to make the Laboratory of Mind and Imagination Sela a sought-after retreat for creative compassionate people to fulfill their need for a perfect retreat.
