La Paternal Espacio Proyecto (LPEP) was born in 2009 in Buenos Aires as a lab for the discussion and development of ideas and projects, generating a space for multidisciplinary exchange between artists with the aim of exploring new connections between art and society. LPEP has received over 65 artists from around the world, offering them the resources to develop a critical approach towards their artistic production and to create a dialogue with the sociocultural context.

As well as the Residency there are four other programmes which, through a variety of activities, promote an intersection between art and society: SIRVEVERSE (art and technology) CONJUGAR CIUDAD (art, education, and citizen??s rights), PAPO (art and politics) and LPR (art and environment).

Currently, LPEP maintains a strong link with the local contemporary art scene, it is part of the Night of the Museums in Buenos Aires, and participates annually of exhibitions in various important spaces such as the Centro Cultural Recoleta.
