La Muse Writers & Artists Retreat

La Muse artists and writers retreat in France offers you time and space to experience inspiration, transformation and well-being creating the work you love in the company of other writers, artists and creatives.

Our artist residence has been hosting retreats for individuals as well as writing retreats, art retreats, yoga retreats and creative healing retreats for groups for 15 years.

Residency Programme since: 2001
Description of Organisation:

We founded La Muse, our artists and writers retreat in France, in 2001.

Why? Because we believe creativity and its pursuit is a universal need.

Giving yourself the time and space to create inspires and transforms feelings and ideas into art but also, as Wallace Stegner once put it, helps heal emotional scars.

If everyone could create a little more then the world would be the better for it.

Every day and moment we spend creating something makes living more fun.

Our residents seem to think so too: over the last 15 years we have had several couples and individuals who have now been on retreats to La Muse over 10 times and others who have chosen to come for 6 months at a time.
