The residency program is organised on a case by case bais. There is a great flexibility practised to satisfy the individual artists needs and search. Application are therefore only by email. Assistence is given to obtain grants.
Kala Khoj,is an international artist residency program established in India since 1998. It handles more than 60 artists (visiting and local) annually in collaboration with several indian cultural centers and artists in major cities of India. It also works in close partnership with Pondicherry government, Indian, French, British and German Art/Language Centers of Chennai,Bangalore, Trivandrum, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Kolkatta. It organises cultural tours within India for intersted group of visiting artists, arts managers, curators and professors. For performing and visual artists, it is also possible to organise on request exhibitions/workshops and national tour of perfomances in other cities of India. Main focus of Kala Khoj is to enhance/support research/educational aspects of the arts both for young and established artists. The artists are expected come with an open spirit, willing to interact and communicate with local artists and impart training where/when necessary in the local schools.
