Hovinkartano International Arts and Cultural Cent

Name of Residency: HAUHO – nature and peace

Our residence is open on one or two weeks basis. We accept applications by e-mail. We also accept family members to stay here while the artist is working/putting up exhibition/getting new ideas…
We are open to artists only during June, July and August. We prefer applications for the month of July but in case we get good and inspiring applications we can accept the time from June till the middle of August. CV, some pictures of works and probably a plan for the residency time should be included in the application.
The cost for one week is 150 euros including accomodation, sheets, towels etc. Meals are not included but we have good kitchen facilities for artists to prepare their own meals. We help in going shopping to the supermarkets.

We have a weekly program including work days, of course, and visits to the neighbourhood, an evening by the grill outside, experiencing Finnish sauna and visit to the Art Museum in the nearest city. Walks in the forests and fields a an essential part of the program.
