Heima is an independent multidisciplinary art residency for emerging and established artists. The space is a 350 square meters living and studio/exhibition space. It?s located in Seyðisfjörður – East Iceland.
We encourage applications from a wide range of artists of different cultural and geographic backgrounds. We are open for applications for all phases – from initial research to finishing works.
In 2019 Heima will offer two residency period involving six artist carefully curated. The program offers completely free access to Heima’s facilities.
Heima is currently accepting applications for two 90 days residency in 2019. Deadline is January 1th.

Residency fee is 150.000 ISK (approx 1230 Euro).
The residency fee is to be paid in advance and is non-refundable.
Residents must provide for their own food, travel, and miscellaneous expenses.

Heima Art Residency is an independent nonprofit organisation founded in 2013. Heima is located in Seyðisfjörður, a thriving port that is home to just 650 people and yet manages to support an art school, a cinema, a theatre, restaurants/bars, three artist residencies and more.
