Green Culture Arts Residences

As part of our main umbrella programme Green Culture, our aim is to inspire as many artists as we can reach to take the sustainability/environmental route and link them to the community of environmental artists and cultural organisations who are part of the Green Culture network. Our project is bridging UK and Europe with the Western Balkans region and our main hub is in Montenegro.

Our 3 storey national heritage historical building was built in 1910 and is the first example of Cubist architecture on the Balkans, also the first building built from concrete. We?ve created a space for environmental artists who, while visiting Montenegro get inspired by it?s natural beauty, and they explore environmental art working and develop their skills close to the nature and as a part of it.

We are looking to work with visual and video artists, film makers, photographers, writers, musicians as well as fashion and graphic designers, multimedia artists, with special interest in biomimicry kinetic artists/architects. As a part of the residence we also exhibit our artist&rsquos work in collaboration with our partners, the Faculty for Visual Arts, part of the University of Montenegro.

We have programmed both shorter and longer residencies and the first one is being planned for April/May 2018. We will announce the forthcoming residency in a month.
