Cowwarr Art Space / CAN Inc. AiR program draws from a broad range of arts practices, related disciplines and nationalities.
Operating in a restored heritage Butter Factory C.1918 situated on the outskirts of Cowwarr, a small rural community in Victoria, Australia. It provides the perfect creative haven for artists wanting to get away from it all and make new work in a self-directed residency. To date the program has hosted a total of 132 Artists from over 20 different countries.

Cowwarr Art Space and its partner the Cowwarr Arts Network (CAN) Inc. the not-for-profit community arts organisation have delivered a program of national and international residencies, exhibitons, performance and community engagment programs for nearly 30 years. The strength and diversity of the artists involved, the unconventional and innovative interactions and exchanges with audiences and our local own community makes this residnecy program unique.
