R.A.R.O is a new kind of Artist-In-Residence Program that allows artists from Argentina and abroad to work and develop their projects in different Ateliers around the city of Buenos Aires and Madrid.

The itinerant nature of the R.A.R.O residencies, is designed for the resident, to work in his or her project in different ateliers with different artists, achieving greater feedback and sharing wider experiences in a very diverse environment.

R.A.R.O residencies are for emerging, mid-career and established artists of all disciplines, interested in a new concept of Artist-In-Residence Program.

Residency Programme since: 2014
Description of Organisation:

R.A.R.O is an artistic and creative collective, that produces artistic residencies in Buenos Aires and Madrid.

The unique character of R.A.R.O is that it allows residents to develop their art projects in various artists’ studios at each of the cities where we are currently offering residencies. As such, R.A.R.O is an itinerant art residency programme built around a collaborative network of local art studios with medium or long trajectories that open their doors to guide and accompany our resident artists.

At R.A.R.O. we seek to encourage an active engagement based on knowledge and resource exchanges among participants. Besides learning new techniques or strengthening those already known, during their stay, artists have the possibility get in contact with other local artists, curators and collectors, and exhibit their final work.
