Centre d’Art i Natura de Farrera

The village of Farrera itself is an harmonious cluster of houses and barns, built with local stone and slate, grouped around the 17th century church of Sant Roc, situated on a south-facing bluff at an altitude of 1365 metres. As one of the highest inhabited villages in Catalonia, its views of the surrounding mountains are breathtaking.

CAN aims to find a working symbiosis between the arts, the natural sciences and local skills and knowledge. Any professional or practitioner of artistic creation or research can become a resident of the CAN. It offers ideal spaces for working, as well as freedom for residents to establish their own daily pace in an atmosphere conducive to creativity. They will also receive personalised attention and backup and, if they so desire, an introduction to the natural and cultural setting.
