Sao Paulo is a huge city with a very rich contemporary culture: many museums, exhibition openings daily, international galleries, art fairs, public art events, theaters, art studios, shops, thousands of restaurant with the best food, Japanese and Chinese neighbourhood, Italian neighbourhood, antique fairs, bike lanes all over town. It is a very important town for artists.

Casa Tamarindo offers complete print studio with etching and woodblock press, and other areas for developing skills on watercolor, painting, sculpturing or just relaxing.

The artist resident will have his own bedroom with shared bathroom and may have technical assistance for sculpture on clay, etching, linoleum  and woodblock printmaking,   box juice printing and whatercolor with the artist Rosane Viegas.

Or you may also  develop your skills on ilustration with the artist Felipe Tognoli.

But the main goal of Casa Tamarindo is to allow to artist an immersion in the art universe, especially in the areas of engraving and sculpture, allowing the artist to reflect more on art and develop skills, thinking and a more critical look on the artistic universe.

Residency Programme since: 2016
Description of Organisation:

Casa Tamarindo is an independent organization run by active artists. We are not supported by public funds or sponsorships, so we count on contributions from artists and visitors.

Our monthly residence fee is $ 599.00 for a single artist, a very interesting cost considering a private sleep room, artistic ambience and facilities.

We are open to all artists and art lovers. As a paid residence, we are more affordable and easier to enroll than government-funded ones because they are very selective and competitive to accept candidates. Not only artists are welcome, but writers, designers, art collectors, and creative people interested in an immersive art experience. Sometimes we also receive short term visitors with daily rates.
