The residency program is part of our vision, which is to provide a service platform where arts and creativity can be accessible to all disciplines / sectors of society.

We welcome international artists, curators, and researchers with any creative concept or project, you can submit proposal anytime, once accepted, fees and conditions can be discussed.

Annual open call is in October-December, successful candidates are awarded to use one of the studio free of charge for a month. (Special equipment will be charged additionally)

We are happy to accommodate four types of works:

&bull Working space and equipment for 3 Dimensional works and mixed media artists.

&bull Site-specific works in public intervention.

&bull Experimentation and collaboration of all creative disciplines.

&bull Consultative, research and implementation services for arts related projects.

Support to residency artists includes:

&bull General Administration: Visa application, local coordination etc.

&bull Custom-Designed resource connection and exchange

&bull Work in Process: Concepts and ideas experimentation

&bull Works presentation at or off site.

We mainly custom-design the residency on an individual basis. Service includes introducing the visiting artists to important exhibitions/performances to join in art community and culture events, such as: open studios, related group shows / discussions, and outreach with local schools and communities.

Description of Organisation: The Bamboo Curtain Studio (BCS) in Taiwan aims to promote cross-cultural exchanges by providing a meeting point for visitors from national and international art related fields, for short visits or specific projects.

BCS is member of Res Artis, initiator of Intra Asia Network for AIR & Artists&rsquo mobility, regional representative of International Network of Culture Diversity and Arts Network Asia, country representative for World Culture Forum Asia-Pacific. We could custom design the residency programme based on individual needs, such as visiting important exhibitions, performances, and to join in art community and cultural events.
