Based in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand, Artist Residency Thailand has an international reputation for delivering high-quality, bespoke residency experiences for artists and Creative Practitioners at different stages in their careers.. Residents are provided with the necessary environment and mentoring, to develop skills as workshop leaders, as well the resources and support to produce and evolve their own Creative Practice.

All of our residencies are FREE and practitioners are selected via a committee of international artists, educators and young people

Visual artists have 24 hour access to a 90m2 private, air-conditioned studio, as well as evening access to a wood and metal workshop. All practitioners benefit from private work-spaces, accommodation and leisure facilities including private pool.

All artists have access to and opportunities for mentoring and critiquing and receive support in the planning and delivery of workshops and master classes

Residencies are free and certain programmes benefit from additional travel and subsistence funds. Applicants must commit to working with young people and community groups for a proportion of their residency, but the structure and content of this residency element is flexible.

All artists need to provide an up to date police records check prior to the start of their residency.
