Have you decided which workshops to attend at our meeting in Kyoto? We are here to help!
Our Res Artis meetings are the heart of our network, and we work hard to make sure we deliver excellent workshops lead by experts.
Are you thinking of joining us in Kyoto, or perhaps debating over which workshops to attend whilst there. Well then we are here to help!
However, between 1 and 4 pm on the 7th February you will have to choose where to spend your time. So let us introduce the first option!
Res Artis Workshop for Emerging Arts Residencies
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm: Workshop
3:00 pm to 4:00 pm: Tea Ceremony
This particular workshop will be lead by Lea O’Loughlin who is the president of the Board of Res Artis and Head of Awards and Residencies at Acme in London. She will be joined by Maryam Bagheri who is our MENASA cluster coordinator at Res Artis.
Who better to talk to you about your dreams of starting an artist residency?
This workshop is a practical guide for emerging residencies or those considering setting up an arts residency program. The discussion will be interactive, and will include a practical exercise for participants. The focus topics will include arts residency structures, developing a clear mission statement, finances, communication and promotion, and effective artist engagement.
So if you are thinking about opening a residency or wondering how to find your feet as an emerging organisation then this could be the workshop for you.
See you in Kyoto!
