KulttuuriKauppila Artist-in-Residence Program 2013

Tailored residency program for 2-4 months in an idyllic culture tradition environment in North Finland.

KulttuuriKauppila is a dream of three artists, a dream of a new kind of an art home. Located in an idyllic culture tradition environment, just by the river bank in a very silent and nature surrounded area, KulttuuriKauppila comprises of two houses; the residence built in the 19th century and an atelier house built year 2006.

The residency programme of KulttuuriKauppila is tailored for each guest artist. The artist is provided time and space for the creative process as well as new contacts to the art field. We encourage the artists to interact with the local community.

Artists from all art branches may apply to KulttuuriKauppila, though we concentrate on visual arts, community arts and applied arts. The duration of the stay varies between two and four months.

Application periods

Next application period closes on 31st of August 2012 for the period February-December 2013.
